Junior high Tigers face off with Eagles

The Troup eighth grade boys fell to the Tatum Eagles, 60-20, on Feb. 1.

Scorers for the Tigers were Caleb Gibson with 15, Dalvin Franklin 3 and Ryan Nichols 2.

The seventh grade pulled out a narrow win in their bout with Eagles.

Trailing by one, Carson Clark hit a three with 45 seconds left to put Troup up for good and secure a 32-30 win.

Troup trailed by eight points with just over two minutes remaining. Going into the game both teams had one district loss each defeating each other. The win gave the Tigers sole possession of first place.

Scorers for Troup were Carson Clark with 13, Chris Villalobos 8, KiKi Shanks 5, Kirby Lyons 4 and Dylan Goar 2.
