Junior high falls to Pirates

All four of the Whitehouse junior high Lady Cat teams fell short to the Lady Pirates of Pine Tree on Monday night as they saw their district season come to an end.

In the first game of the night, the 7th grade "B" team would fall to Pine Tree with a score of 26- 4. Callie Birdsong and Brooke Organ were the lone scorers for the night.

The 7th grade "A" team would also fall short to the Lady Pirates by a score of 44-16.

The high scorers for 7th grade "A" team were Taylor Burkett with 8 points and Erica Jordan with 4 points. Shelby Galloway and Madison Melrose both chipped in with 2 points each.

The 8th grade "B" team would also lose to the Pirates, 25-14.

Scoring for the Lady Cats were Krystal Gordon with 6 points, Christina Cobb with 5 points, Danielle Nelson with 2 points, and Caroline Walton with 1 point.

The "A" team would lose their battle against the Lady Pirates with a score of 36-23.

The "A" team would be lead in scoring by Rachel Kidwell with 7 points followed by Kandice Harlan, Megan Alexander, Ashlee Lambert, and Caroline Weathers with 4 points respectively.

With these losses, the Jr. High Lady Cat "B" team ended their season with a 7-1 record while the "A" team concluded with a 4-4 district record.
