Artist brings sketches to life in exhibit
      "It's All in the Family," the senior art show featuring the design projects of Whitehouse resident Rebecca Blake, was recently displayed at the Stevens Art Gallery at Harding University. Blake, an interior design major, used tangible pieces to showcase her work, not just sketches on paper.

Lon Morris students inducted into PTK
      Two local students have been selected to join the the international honor society, Phi Theta Kappa, Rho Chapter at Lon Morris College. WHS hosting SAT preparation workshop
      Whitehouse High School will host a SAT prep workshop for sophomores and juniors. This workshop will meet for three weeks, two days a week, including three days for verbal and three days for math. The cost is $80 for the total six sessions.

TJC releases president's, dean's lists
      Tyler Junior College has recognized students named to the president's and dean's lists for their academic excellence during the Fall 2006 semester. The President's List is composed of students who complete a minimum of 12 hours of college level courses with a 4.0 grade-point average.
