Parkinsonians of East Texas meeting

Parkinsonians of East Texas will meet Thursday, Feb. 22nd at 2 p.m. at East Texas Medical Center Pavilion, 801 Clinic Dr., Tyler. The speaker will be Gina Baxter, Exercise Specialist. Her topic will be "Parkinson exercise and guidance program." Parking is free for the meeting.

Tyler Aggie Mom's Club meeting

The Tyler Aggie Mom's Club will meet Thursday, Feb. 15 at 7 p.m. at Pollard Methodist Church in Tyler. Bring scissors, hot glue guns, and sewing machines to help with the many projects underway for the annual Aggie Mom's Boutique. Contact Janice at 903-839-8202 for more information.

Vietnam Veterans of America to meet

Vietnam Veterans of America, Tyler Chapter, will meet Thursday, Feb. 15 at Traditions at 7 p.m. All veterans are invited to attend. For info, call Robbie at 903-876-4935.

KWB meets Friday

Keep Whitehouse Beautiful will meet Friday, Feb. 16 at 11 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall of the Whitehouse Assembly of God Church. The public is welcome to attend.

Church singing set

Union Grove Baptist Church of Troup will have a church singing at 5 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 17, with finger food served around 7 p.m.

WHS Athletic Boosters meet

The Whitehouse Athletic Booster Club will meet Monday, Feb. 19 at 7 p.m. in the Commons area of the high school.

WHS teams up for TAKS

Tuesday, Feb. 20 is TEAM UP FOR TAKS day at WHS. Everyone is encouraged to wear Wildcat spirit shirts. Freshmen will be taking the TAKS reading test and sophomores and juniors will be taking the English Language Arts Test. Seniors will report at 11:30 a.m.

Volleyball Silent Auction coming up

Come and bid on themed baskets before the First Ladies' Spring Spectacular on Feb. 22. Proceeds go to support the Whitehouse Ladycat Volleyball teams! Auction runs from 5:30- 6:45 in the Sports Lobby, Whitehouse High School.

Word of Life Tabernacle hosts celebration

The Bethany Word of Life Tabernacle, 6808 Paluxy Drive in Tyler, will host its annual church celebration Feb. 23- 24. Church service on Friday will be held at 7 p.m. The church's pastor, Elder Ed Sanders, will be the speaker. On Saturday, the women's ministry will host a breakfast at 10 a.m. Evangelist Daisy Sanders, from Cedar Hill, will be the guest speaker. For more information, call 903-839-7846.

Whitehouse library activities

The Whitehouse Library offers these activities: Story time is on Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m. and scrapbooking nights are the third Friday of each month at 6:30 p.m. Come visit the library!

Weight loss support group meets Mondays

The Eat Right For Life Support Group meets every Monday from 5:30-6:30 p.m. in the meeting room of the Regions Bank in Whitehouse (across from the Post Office). Meetings are free. For more information, call 903-839-7634.

Pilgrimage planned by Prince of Peace

Teens and adults from Prince of Peace Church in Whitehouse will be embarking on a pilgrimage to Italy from July 11- 23, 2007. The tour will include a visit to Rome and Vatican City. Contact Dee Bice of Bice Travel at 903-839-8264, or by e-mail at bicetravel@suddenlink.net. The deadline is Feb. 28.
