Chester Melvin Baker

MINEOLA - Services for Chester Melvin Baker, 80, Mineola, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday at Beaty Funeral Home, Mineola, with the Rev. Dr. Mark Neeley officiating. Burial will be 2 p.m. at Grove Hill Memorial Park, Dallas. Mr. Baker died Feb. 11, 2007, in Tyler.

He was born July 15, 1926, in Gardendale to Chester Carswell and Beulah English Baker.

He was preceded in death by an infant brother; brother, Bill Baker; sister, Juanita Robertson; and son, Melvin Baker.

Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Pearl Baker, Mineola; daughters, Vickie Neyra and Deb Euler, both of Mesquite, and Rita Carroll, Mineola; adopted son, John Brady, Whitehouse; brother, Ray Baker, Mineola; sister, Dorothy Baker, Mineola; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be John Brad, Curtis Baker, Brant Robertson, Jackie Huffman, Joe Huffman and Darren Baker.
