Eldonna Womack
Gravesides services for Eldonna Womack, 67, Troup, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 22, at the Union Grove Cemetery, near Troup, with the Reverend Gaylon Taylor officiating. Burial is under the direction of Cottle Funeral Home, Troup.

Mrs. Womack died Monday, Feb. 19, 2007, in a Troup nursing home. She was born Sept.16, 1939 in Conroe to William A. and Evelyn L. Athey Smith.

She was a graduate of Willis High School and the nursing school at Henderson Memorial Hospital. She had been employed for 16 years as a LVN at Westwood Convalescent Home, Troup.

Mrs. Womack had lived in Troup for 46 years and was a member of West Duval Baptist Church, Troup. She married Dwayne Womack on Nov. 23,1957.

She was preceded in death by a son, Stephen Womack in 1985 and a daughter, Dee Ann Guthrie in 2000.

Survivors include her husband of 49 years, M. D. 'Buddy' Womack, Troup; one son and daughter-in-law, Tommy and Becky Womack, Troup; one daughter and son-in-law, Mona and Eric Ables, Whitney; one brother and sister-in-law, David and Diana Smith, Lake Striker; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be nephews.

If desired, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
