Six bands will take to the stage to compete for a cash prize and recording studio time at Ambassador Baptist Church's "Battle of the Bands," scheduled Saturday at Cain Elementary. Following performances by the six competing groups, the band Luminate (pictured below) will headline the night's entertainment.

Performances begin at 5 p.m. with the scheduled lineup of Seymoure and The Wilmingtons, Epiphany, A Bullet for Pretty Boy, True Vine, 3 theory and Third Awakening. Following Luminate's set, the winner will be announced, receiving $200 cash and $300 worth of studio time at Rose City Sound and Production.

A handful of other area bands will perform in between the competing bands, making for a full night of music. Admission is $7 with T-shirt sales and concessions available. Door prizes will also be given away. (Band profiles featured on this page were written
