Lois Salyer

ARP - Services for Lois Salyer, 80, Longview, formerly of Arp, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday at Cottle-Pearson Funeral Home, Overton, with the Rev. Wes Bynum officiating.

Burial will be in Mason Cemetery, Arp.

Mrs. Salyer died Feb. 24, 2007 in Longview. She was born Oct. 19, 1926 in Durant, Okla. She was a longtime resident of Arp, moving to Longview 20 years ago. She attended Overton High School and was a homemaker and member of Arp Assembly of God.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Cassie Patterson, on Nov. 28, 2001.

Survivors include sons, Gene Salyer, League City, and Terry and Lisa Salyer, White Oak; brothers, Ralph Patterson, Tyler, and Wayne Patterson, Arp; sisters, Inez Salyer, Longview, June Higginbotham, Gloster, Miss., Doris Harris, Lawrenceville, Ga., and Glenda Garrett, Troup; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Larry Patterson, Rodney Salyer, Ray Harris, Bob Higginbotham, Kory Salyer and Kody Salyer.
