BULLETIN BOARD Community Activities Quilter's Guild of East Texas to meet The Quilter's Guild of East Texas will meet Thursday, March 8 at 10 a.m. at the TASCA building 3402 Old Omen Rd., in Tyler. Tool sale set for Friday The American Legion Post 418 in Troup will have its annual tool sale Friday, March 9 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Featuring a huge assortment of tools, the sale will be held inside the American Legion Hall at 302 E. Magnolia. The Sons of the American Legion will be cooking food. Women's seminar set for March The All Power Christian Seminar will be held at Harvey Convention Center in Tyler on March 9, 11, 19. The seminar will focus on health, wellness and fitness. Masonic Lodge #1371 to meet Henry Marsh Bell Masonic Lodge #1371 will meet Monday, March 12 at 7 p.m. at the lodge. All Masonic brothers are welcome to attend. American Legion Post #418 meets Troup American Legion Post #418 will meet Tuesday, March 13 at 7 p.m. at the Legion Hall. Vietnam Veterans of America to meet Vietnam Veterans of America, Tyler Chapter, will meet Thursday, March 15 at Traditions at 7 p.m. All veterans are invited to attend. Whitehouse COGIC plans parade for Vets The Whitehouse Church of God in Christ is holding a parade on Saturday, March 24 at 10 a.m. in honor of all area veterans. The parade is scheduled to start at Higgins Intermediate and take Bascom Road to the city park, where a brief ceremony will be held. The church is inviting other churches and groups to participate. Clean Whitehouse Day set Clean Whitehouse Day is set for Saturday, March 24. This is a semiannual event for disposal of items not suitable for regular recycle day. If you don't need it…DON'T DUMP IT! WWCL Easter Egg Hunt set The Whitehouse Women's Civic League will host their annual Easter Egg Hunt in City Park on Saturday, March 31 at 11 a.m. Children up through third grade will have the opportunity to scavenger for hundreds of eggs including special eggs that will win them a prize basket. Four Winds Faire under way The merry days of the Four Winds Faire has begun for the 2007 season, just four miles south of Whitehouse off CR 2138. The event runs through April 22. KWB seeks garage sale items Keep Whitehouse Beautiful, a nonprofit, all volunteer organization affiliated with Keep Texas Beautiful, is currently collecting items for their garage sale in May. This is their main fund-raising event. If you would like to donate items or have items left over from your garage sale, contact Dorothy LaFlure at 903-839-3708 or email at kwb75791@yahoo.com. Whitehouse Recycle Center hours The Whitehouse Recycle Center is open every Wednesday 7-10 a.m. and 3:30-5 p.m. as well as the first and third Saturday 8 a.m. to noon. Bring your recyclable paper, newspaper, cardboard, plastic, aluminum cans and tin cans. The Recycle Center is located on Railroad Ave. Whitehouse library activities The Whitehouse Library offers these activities: Story time is on Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m. and scrapbooking nights are the third Friday of each month at 6:30 p.m. Come visit the library!
