got junk?
Get rid of it during KWB's Clean Whitehouse Day on March 24

If you don't need it … DON'T DUMP IT!

This is the theme for the semiannual Clean Whitehouse Day, set for Saturday, March 24 from 8 a.m. until noon.

This event gives the community the opportunity to dispose of items not suitable for regular recycling.

"We are accepting yard waste, appliances, furniture and other odds and ends," said Dorothy LaFlure, Keep Whitehouse Beautiful spokesperson. "Tires are welcome too, but there is a $2 disposal fee for them."

This is the ideal time for spring cleaning the garage, the store room and the yard to rid your home of extra or unwanted items.

"KWB will also be accepting sellable items for our garage sale that is set for May 11 and 12 at the same location," LaFlure said.

Whether your items are junk or just junk to you, bring them down to the Recycling Center on Railroad Road south of FM 346 and do your part to REDUCE, REUSE and RECYCLE.
