Tiger runners participate in WO's Atkins Relays

Troup's varsity Tigers finished eighth at the Tommy Atkins Relays in White Oak on March 1, accumulating 40 total points. Individual results were:

Shot put - C. Davis, first, 50'7.75"

Long jump - Thompson, third, 20'11.25"

400 meter relay - Troup, second, 45.027

100 meter dash - Thompson, second, 11.426

The top five boys teams were Winona with 88 points, Daingerfield 83, Wills Point 71, White Oak 68 and Mount Vernon 51.

In the girls competition, Lady Tigers finished in 11th place with 16 points. Individual results were:

Shot put - Talley, second, 36'7"

800 meter relay - Troup, fourth, 1:54.982

The top five girls teams were Spring Hill with 137 points, White Oak 107, Harmony 63, Wills Point 60 and Rains, 51.
