Women's Civic League plans egg hunt March 31 City Park will be a colorful bustle of youngsters and helpful adults when it welcomes the seventh annual Community Egg Hunt on March 31. The seventh annual event is hosted by the Whitehouse Women's Civic League. Karen Fedell, chairman of the egg hunt says the event continues to grow each year. "This is as much fun for us as it is for the kids," Fedell said. "At our meeting prior to the egg hunt, each member brings six dozen plastic eggs filled with wrapped candy, little toys or stickers. Then the morning of the hunt we find that the Easter Bunny has made a special early trip to Whitehouse to hide the eggs for all the kids." Toddlers through third graders of the Whitehouse community are invited to bring their Easter baskets, buckets or bags and search all the hiding places of the Whitehouse City Park for hundreds of candy and prize-filled eggs. Enormous fun-filled baskets will go home with some lucky children. These prizes will be awarded through special egg finds. The hunt begins at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 31. |
