Pictured, left to right, are (front) Janet Brady, Tommy Guinn, Becky Mathis, (back) Jimmy Langkop, Jim Chutsz, Bobbie Guinn, Ed and Carol Morvant and Patsy Carroll.
The women's auxiliary of Troup's American Legion sponsored a benefit supper for Retired Sgt. Tommy Guinn Saturday. Guinn was injured in Pakistan and is paralyzed from the waist down. See story page 4A.

Offering pulled pork barbecue plates and silent auction items, the group raised a little over $3,000 for the Guinn housing fund, according to Auxiliary president Becky Mathis.

Mathis estimates that the pulled pork supper raised around $1,050; the silent auction, $950; and then there were more than $900 in donations.

Mathis thanked the community and the peope donated money or goods to the auction.
