Jack Gillis

Memorial services for Jack Gillis will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Southern Oaks Baptist Church with Tony Garrett officiating. Mr. Gillis died March 25, 2007 in Tyler.

He was born Aug. 7, 1950 in California to Francis and Helen Gillis, and had lived in Whitehouse and Tyler. He was a member of Southern Oaks Baptist Church and a driver for Averitt Express. He was preceded in death by his wife, Beverly Gillis, and one sister.

Survivors include his wife, Brenda Gillis; daughter, Nora Gillis, Whitehouse; sons, Robert Gillis, Maryland, and Brian Gillis, California; stepchildren, Scott McDonald, Matthew McDonald, Kandid Nalley, Aron Nalley and Macy Nalley; eight grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
