Josie Raspberry earns first runner-up

Miss Josie Elizabeth Rasberr y, the 11 year old daughter of Max and Stace (Jarvis) Rasberry, formerly of Troup, placed first runner-up in the 2007 MissVernon Parish 4- H pageant held in Leesville, La., on March 17. Attending the pageant were grandmother Susan Jar vis, great-grandmother Carolyn Worl, cousin Lauren Worl, all of Troup, and aunt Jenifer Cheney and cousin Chloe Cheney of Whitehouse.

Josie is a 5th grader at Anacoco Elementary in Anacoco, La., and has participated in the 4-H Food festival and the 4-H Supershirt contest where she placed 1st in the sweatshirt category. Her hob- bies include drawing, writing, cooking, riding her bike, dancing, playing soccer, sewing, and shopping. She also likes playing the piano, photography and videotaping.
