      Whitehouse was the runner up of District 17-4A and Palestine finished in third place of District 18. Their bidistrict battle last Friday in Nacogdoches proved to be a tough match as both teams struggled to find the goal in the first half.

Cats lose on the road
      The Wildcat varsity baseball team suffered a tough road loss last Tuesday night at Pine Tree to the district-leading Pirates by the score of 11-3. Things looked good early on as the Wildcats scored two runs in the second to take an early 2- 1 lead.

Tigers rout Bears, 18-1
      Powered by 19 hits, the Troup Tigers overwhelmed the Timpson Bears Friday, 18-1, and improved their district record to 4-1. WILDCATS EARN ALL-DISTRICT HONORS
      Four members of the district-winning Whitehouse Wildcat varsity basketball squad have earned All District honors. Head coach Wally Dawkins also earned Coach of the Year status, along with Hallsville's Mark Malone and Steve Kelly from Nacogdoches.

Quinn paces Whitehouse track team
      The varsity boys track team finished sixth with 56 points at Saturday's Wildcat Relays. Will Quinn won both the 3200 meter run and 1600 meter run. In the 3200 he set a personal record with a time of 10:06. In the 1600 he set a personal record of 4:45.
