Giving Hope support group to meet

Giving Hope Ministries will host a support group meeting for single moms on Monday, April 2 at 6 p.m. Childcare is available by reservation only. The meeting will be held at their building located at 111 Hwy. 110 North, one block north of FM 346 across from Brown Elementary. WWCL Easter Egg Hunt Saturday

The Whitehouse Women's Civic League will host their annual Easter Egg Hunt in City Park on Saturday, March 31 at 11 a.m. Children up through third grade will have the opportunity to scavenge for hundreds of eggs including special eggs that will win them a prize basket. Bring your basket and your camera for a morning of fun.

East Texas Writers Guild will meet

The East Texas Writers Guild will meet Monday, April 2 at the Texas Book Store in Bullard. The business meeting is at 6:30 p.m. and the program will start at 7 p.m. Speakers Cindy Daniel and Robin Cieszinski will discuss "True Lies... Making a Transition from Novel to Nonfiction."

Whitehouse Chamber Business Expo set

The Greater Whitehouse Area Chamber of Commerce is hosting its first Business Expo on Tuesday, April 3 from 5 to 7 p.m. in the WHS Auxiliary Gym. To reserve a spot at the expo, contact Sandra Knackstedt at sandraknackstedt@hotmail.com or 903-520-4585.

Dixie Masonic Lodge to meet

The Dixie Masonic Lodge #272 in Troup will meet Tuesday, April 3 at 7:30 p.m. at the lodge hall.

Game Time for Seniors

Game Time for Senior Citizens will be Wednesday, April 4 from 1-3 p.m. at the Troup library. All senior citizens are welcome to attend.

Four Winds Faire under way

The merry days of the Four Winds Faire has begun for the 2007 season, just four miles south of Whitehouse off CR 2138. The event runs through April 22. For more information visit www.FourWindsFaire.com.

KWB seeks garage sale items

Keep Whitehouse Beautiful, a nonprofit, all volunteer organization affiliated with Keep Texas Beautiful, is currently collecting items for their garage sale in May. Whitehouse Recycle Center hours

The Whitehouse Recycle Center is open every Wednesday 7-10 a.m. and 3:30-5 p.m. as well as the first and third Saturday 8 a.m. to noon. Bring your recyclable paper, newspaper, cardboard, plastic, aluminum cans and tin cans. The Recycle Center is located on Railroad Ave.

Weight loss support group meets Mondays

The Eat Right For Life Support Group meets every Monday from 5:30-6:30 p.m. in the meeting room of the Regions Bank in Whitehouse (across from the Post Office). Meetings are free. For more information, call 903-839-7634.

Karing Kitchen

Troup American Legion Post 418 has karaoke every Saturday night from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m.

The Goldens to sing at Lake Tyler Baptist

Baptist Forerunners meet

The Forerunners, senior adults of First Baptist Church of Troup, will meet for a noon covered dish luncheon Monday, April 2. Sharon Hudspeth will review the book "Tisha," a true story of the Alaskan Bush Country.

Tender Mercy Trio in Easter concert

All junior parents and students are asked to attend this planning meeting for the Whitehouse Jr/Sr Prom. The meeting is in the lecture hall on Thursday, March 29 at 7:30 p.m.
