Deadline to register April 12

The deadline to register to vote for the May 12 election is Thursday, April 12.

Early voting begins April 30 and continues through May 8.

The City of Whitehouse will hold an election for a bond issue involving funds for a park development project; Troup ISD will have a school board race between incumbent Johnny Johnson and Hank Gilbert.

The City of Troup and Whitehouse ISD have canceled their elections due to lack of challengers for incumbent positions.

Voter registration forms are available online at a variety of locations, including http:// www.sos.state.tx.us/elections/ voter/reqvr.shtml. You may also pick up a form or register in person at local elections offices.
