Walter Lee Womack
Services for Walter Lee Womack, 91, of Troup were held March 31 at Cottle Funeral Home chapel, Troup, with the Revs. James Cheatham and Mike Jeter officiating.

Burial was in Union Grove Cemetery near Troup.

Mr. Womack died March 29, 2007 at a Tyler hospice.

He was born Feb. 13, 1916, near Troup to the late Julius and Ada Nunn Womack. He was a lifelong resident of Troup and retired from Sinclair Oil Co. in 1962 and from state of Texas in 1983. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Troup. He was preceded in death by his wife of 68 years, Anita Johnson Womack, on June 29, 2002; daughter-in-law, Eldonna Womack; three grandchildren; nine brothers and sisters.

Survivors include daughters, Diane Eaton, Troup, and Claudine Stoker, Whitehouse; sons, Wendel Womack, Whitehouse, and Dwayne "Buddy" Womack, Troup; 11 grandchildren; 27 greatgrandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Grandsons served as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers were Nolan Smith and Charlie Rhodes.
