Park project tops town hall meeting

Citizens get another chance to voice opinions on the proposed park plan/site at Monday's town hall meeting.
The public is invited to attend a town hall meeting scheduled 7 p.m. Monday, April 23 at Whitehouse city council chambers. The upcoming bond election and plans for a proposed park development will be the focus of the meeting.

Voters will have a chance to consider the $3 million bond package on May 12; the town hall meeting will let citizens voice their thoughts about the package, as well as ask questions or make suggestions about proposed elements of the park and thoroughfare.

The park project was orginally to go before the city council for approval. A successful citizens petition halted the council vote and forced the issue to go before the public.

The $3 million package would develop a park and also construct a thoroughfare between FM 346 and Hillcreek Road.
