PATH sets baby drive Throughout the month of May, People Attempting to Help (PATH) will hold its annual drive for diapers and baby items. The organization collects diapers of all sizes as well as baby wipes, formula and baby food. Items are distributed at no cost to families in need through the PATH food pantry. "Anyone who has ever had to purchase these items knows that they are pricey. But, they are necessary," said Martha Kerns, director of special programs at PATH. "We collect them because they are vital to the health of infants and toddlers. "We want to avoid any instances where a baby might be left in a diaper for too long or fed the wrong formula - simply because parents can't afford these items," she said. Located at 402 W. Front St., in Tyler, PATH accepts donations Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m.- 4:30 p.m. Visit their website at www.tylerpath.org or phone 903.597.4044 for more info. |
