Lady Cats face N. Lamar in bi-district series

The Lady Cats will face North Lamar in a best-of-three series for the bi-district championship. The teams will play Thursday and Friday at 6 p.m. in Greenville.

Due to TAKS testing, the team played last Saturday, defeating Henderson, 2-0.

Taylor Russell pitched all seven innings, allowing three hits, striking out four and walking one.

Erica Fuller and Haley Fos- ter both made outstanding plays in the outfield to preserve the shut-out, said head coach Alicia Crawford. Jordan Knight also did an excellent job defensively at first base ending the game on a double play.

Offensively Russell helped her cause going 3-for-4 at the plate with an RBI.

The Lady Cats travel to Greenville Thursday and Friday at 6 to take on North Lamar in a best of three series for bi-district.
