All-school reunion brings friends together

The Brown family: Ruth Mitchell, Virginia and Marshall Brown, Rosa Collins, Oscar, Mel and Buck Brown, Mary McCoy, Eldon Brown and Martha Burns.

Cain Elementary School was the site of last weekend's All- School reunion for Whitehouse graduates. This year's gathering saw former students from 1934 through 1965.

"The annual reunion is always planned for the third Saturday in April, from 1-4 p.m.," said Lana Wimberly, event organizer. "All former students, teachers, principals and superintendents are encouraged to attend."

Approximately 80 people attended this year's get-together.

A donated prize was given to Mary Stanley Ray, who traveled the farthest, coming from Cisco. Beautiful Nix Whitehouse roses served as centerpieces for the tables and were also given away.

"Everyone had a great time and we look forward to seeing everyone again next year," said Mrs. Wimberly.
