Jarvis legacy includes arts, Troup library

Troup lost one of its most prominent and well-loved citizens Friday when former mayor Julietta Jarvis passed away. Private graveside services were held at Bradford Cemetery in Troup.

Known as Jetta, she was a member of one of Troup's founding families, and the city library bears her name.

Jetta was an avid supporter of the arts and remained active in community service. She was honored in 2005 as Woman of the Year by the Troup Women's Civic Organization.
