WH senior wins state UIL editorial writing

Caitlan Bartle State champ, editorial writing
Caitlan Bartle, Whitehouse High School senior, is the 2007 UIL state champion editorial writer in Conference 4A.

Bartle competed against the top three finishers from each region at the UIL Academic State Meet at the University of Texas in Austin on May 4.

Currently the editor of the high school newspaper, Paw Prints, Bartle has participated in UIL meets since she was a freshman. She joined the journalism team last year.

"Caitlan's ability to think through an issue and write about it clearly helped her win this award," said Pam Miller, WHS journalism adviser. "She is one of the most dedicated members I have ever had on the journalism team."

She is the daughter of Kayla and David Bartle of Whitehouse.
