Daniel Thompson

Memorial services for Daniel "Danny" Brandum Thompson, 65, of Las Cruces, N.M., formerly of Tyler, were held May 4 in the FLC Den of Green Acres Baptist Church.

Mr. Thompson died April 27, 2007 at his residence. He was born Jan. 16, 1942, in Huntington, W.Va. He moved to Tyler in 1957 and attended Tyler public schools. He served in the Air Force for 12 years. He then worked in avionics at LTV Corp. in Grand Prairie and then in Las Cruces, N.M., before retiring. He was preceded in death by his father, William M. "Tommy" Thompson, and son, Daniel Kevin Thompson. Survivors include his daughters, Kathleen "Katie" Thompson, Las Cruces, N.M., and Kristin Thompson Babek, Arlington; mother, Gloria "Joy" Thompson, Tyler; sisters, Sandra Miller and Marsha Hanna, both of Colleyville, Debbie Partridge, Athens, and Amy Lilly, Whitehouse; brother, Mark Thompson, Sachse; four grandsons; one great-grandson; nieces and nephews.
