TROUP ELEMENTARY FIELD DAY Troup Elementary students had areal "Field Day" Friday. The busesloaded around 8:15 a.m. to take thekids to the football stadium for aday of friendly competition. Thegames stopped at noon for lunch,with the cafeteria ladies servinghamburgers. The PTO ladies servedsnacks and Gatorade or lemonadeto the students throughout theevents, which ended around 2 p.m.At right, a teacher takes a headcount before her students leave.
Elementary students took part in a variety of events, including relay race, balloon toss, potato race, threelegged race, frisbee toss and basketball dribble. Ribbons were given out to the top finishers.
