TROUP ELEMENTARY FIELD DAY
Troup Elementary students had a real "Field Day" Friday. The buses loaded around 8:15 a.m. to take the kids to the football stadium for a day of friendly competition. The games stopped at noon for lunch, with the cafeteria ladies serving hamburgers. The PTO ladies served snacks and Gatorade or lemonade to the students throughout the events, which ended around 2 p.m. At right, a teacher takes a head count before her students leave.
Elementary students took part in a variety of events, including relay race, balloon toss, potato race, threelegged race, frisbee toss and basketball dribble. Ribbons were given out to the top finishers.
