Alexander (Alex) Erikson Fleming

Funeral services for Alexander (Alex) Erikson Fleming, 17, of Whitehouse were held May 11 at Green Acres Baptist Church with Brother Lou Gary Thomas and Justin Hayes officiating. Burial was in the Mexia City Cemetery with Rev. Charlie Holmes officiating. Services are under the direction of Burks Walker Tippit Funeral Directors.

Mr. Fleming died May 8, 2007. He was born Dec. 4, 1989 in Bedford. Alex was a junior at Whitehouse High School, where he was a member of the Whitehouse High School Band and Jazz Band, All-Region Band for two years, UIL State Qualifier, Solo and Ensemble. He was a varsity letterman in football and track, a member of JV baseball, Honor Guard in the Junior Symphony League, National Honor Society member and a member of Green Acres Baptist Church and Sunday School. He also volunteered for the Good Samaritan Outreach Center, PATH, Green Acres Summer Camp, and Salvation Army and played his trumpet for the "See You at the Pole" Prayer Rally. He was selfemployed for Alex At Your Service, a car-detailing and lawn-service business. He was a truly cherished Christian son, brother and friend. Alex will always be missed and fondly remembered.

He is survived by his parents Michael Erikson Fleming and Amy Lu Holmes Fleming of Whitehouse; paternal grandparents, Steve and Greta Fleming of Bullard; maternal grandparents, Charles and Johnnie Holmes of Mexia; sister, April Elizabeth Fleming of Whitehouse.

Pallbearers were Taylor Dolan, Taylor Sulser, Ben Edwards, Matt Ponce, Trent Chudej and Corbin Seliga.

Honorary pallbearers were members of the Whitehouse Varsity Football Team.

Memorials may be made to the Alex Fleming Memorial Scholarship Fund in Whitehouse.
