WHITEHOUSE CAMP ROUNDUP

The Whitehouse Lady Cat Basketball Camp will be June 4-8 at Whitehouse High School. Camp hours will be 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. daily.

Girls entering grades one through nine will be eligible to attend and will be grouped according to age and ability. Camp activities will include skills instruction and competition and will be conducted by WHS and junior high coaches.

Registration fee is $60. A spot may be reserved for $20, with the remaining $40 due the first day of camp. Registration forms are available at Brookshire's and local banks.

Whitehouse Boys Basketball Summer Camp forms are at Brookshire's in Whitehouse or Sports Plus across from Trane in Tyler.

Three camps are slated:

Pre-K through third, June 11-14, 8 a.m. until noon.

Fourth-sixth, June 18-21, 8 a.m. until noon.

Fifth-eighth, June 18-21, 12:30- 4:30 p.m.

The camps are held at Whitehouse High School and emphasize offensive skills and 5 on 5 team play, as well as individual and small group competitions.

+++ Budding soccer players will get the chance to improve their skills at a dual soccer camp for boys and girls, hosted by the varsity Wildcat and Lady Cat coaches at Whitehouse High School.

The camp is scheduled June 5-7 from 6-8 p.m. daily at the WHS practice field. The camp is open to students entering the first grade through those entering the ninth grade.

Cost is $40 when pre-registering, or $50 on the first day of camp. A T-shirt will be provided for each player.

The camp will put the players through drills focusing on ball handling, passing, shooting, and team play.
