Tyler Rose "Gourd" Patch to meet

The Tyler Rose Gourd Patch will meet Saturday, June 9, 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. at Hobby Lobby in Tyler. Cindy Bradbury will be teaching pine needle weaving on gourds. If you plan to attend, please contact her at (903) 876-2073 for details and supply list. All are invited who are interested in gourd art, learning to use gourds as an art medium, and those who are already gourd artists.

Masonic Lodge #1371 to meet

Henry Marsh Bell Masonic Lodge #1371 will meet Monday, June 11 at 7 p.m. at the lodge. All Masonic brothers are welcome to attend.

American Legion Auxillary to meet

Troup American Legion Auxillary will meet Tuesday, June 12 at 6 p.m. at the legion hall.

Troup Sons of the Legion to meet

Troup Sons of the Legion will meet Wednesday, June 13 at 7 p.m. at the legion hall.

Quilter's Guild to gather June 14

The Quilter's Guild of East Texas will meet Thursday, June 14 at 10 a.m. at the TASCA building 3402 Old Omen Rd., in Tyler.

The Troup VFW will meet Thursday, June 14 at 7 p.m. at the Troup Library

Whitehouse Recycle Center hours

The Whitehouse Recycle Center is open every Wednesday 7-10 a.m. and 3:30-5 p.m. as well as the first and third Saturday 8 a.m. to noon. Bring your recyclable paper, newspaper, cardboard, plastic, aluminum cans and tin cans. The Recycle Center is located on Railroad Ave.

Whitehouse library activities

The Whitehouse Library offers these activities: Story time is on Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m. and scrapbooking nights are the third Friday of each month at 6:30 p.m. Come visit the library!

Weight loss support group gathers

The Eat Right For Life Support Group meets every Monday from 5:30-6:30 p.m. in the meeting room of the Regions Bank in Whitehouse (across from the Post Office). Meetings are free. For more information, call 903-839-7634.

Karing Kitchen offers services

The Karing Kitchen offers free hot meals to anyone in need on Monday evenings from 6-7 p.m. The Karing Kitchen is sponsored by five Tyler Churches of Christ and is located at 420 W. Erwin in the fellowship building of West Erwin Church of Christ. For information, call 903-592-0809.

American Legion hosts karaoke

Troup American Legion Post 418 has karaoke every Saturday night from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m.

SpongeBob Squarepants visits WH
