Maylene Watson

Services for Maylene Watson, 83, of Tyler were held June 5 at St. Louis Baptist Church with the Rev. Ralph Caraway officiating. Burial was held in St. Louis Cemetery under direction of John R. Harmon Undertaking Co., Tyler.

Mrs. Watson died May 31, 2007 in a Tyler nursing home. She was born July 4, 1923, in Smith County and was a lifelong resident. She attended Troup schools, was a homemaker and member of St. Louis Baptist Church where she was a former member of Usher Board and choir. She was preceded in death by her husband.

Survivors include son, Roger Watson, Tyler; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Leon Murphy, Duan Ward, Albert Jones, Ken Mass, Trent Johnson, Keith Williams and deacons of St. Louis Baptist Church. Honorary pallbearers were Samuel Marshall, Timothy Watson, Thomas Watson and Reginald Thompson.
