Mary Ann Mitchell

PALESTINE - Services for Mary Ann Mitchell, 64, of Palestine were held June 4 at Bailey & Foster Funeral Home chapel, Palestine, with the Rev. Kenny Bush and Lloyd Dickey officiating. Burial was held in Evergreen Cemetery.

Mrs. Mitchell died June 2, 2007, in a Frankston nursing home. She was born Aug. 4, 1942 in Anderson County to the late Vernon and Louise Parker Honeycutt. She was a homemaker and member of Memory Lane Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by son, Buddy Dean Mitchell.

Survivors include her husband, H.D. Mitchell, Palestine; daughters, Brenda Sanders, Flint, and Pam Barnes, Palestine; sister, Dian Axum, Elkhart; brothers, Jessie "Bo" Marion Honeycutt, Elkhart, and Jerry Honeycutt, Whitehouse; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Melvin Mason, Jerry Yates, Carlton Mitchell, Jerry Honeycutt, JerryAxum and JerryLynn Axum. Honorary pallbearers were Justin Sanders, Leon Mitchell and Darrel Barnes.
