Morris, Phillips wed March 10
The bride is the daughter of Brenda Morris of Tyler and Gary and Frankie Morris of Aledo. She is the granddaughter of George and Belva Morris of Tyler, and Galen and Virginia Fritz of Huntsville. She attends Tyler Junior and is a graduate of John Tyler High School. She works for the Tyler Municipal Court. The bridegroom is the son of Larry and Cindy Phillips of Whitehouse. He is the grandson of Alma Lee Phillips of Tyler and Patsy Adkins of Paris and the late Charles Adkins. He attended the Community College of the Air Force and is a graduate of Whitehouse High School. He is currently attending the Department of Public Safety Trooper Academy in Austin. The bride wore her mother's wedding dress for the double ring ceremony. The dress featured a strapless empire bodice covered with lace attached to a long, full skirt that formed a train. She wore a cathedral length veil of illusion that hung from a tiara, and her grandmother's pearls completed her ensemble. The bride carried a hand-tied bouquet of cream gerbera daisies and lav- ender roses. Matron of honor was Kim Sulser of Bullard. Best man was Dustin Rust of Tyler. Bridesmaids were Amanda Pirtle of Dallas and Maggie Estes of Ft. Worth. Groomsmen were Matt Wright of Tyler and Trase Christian of Paris. Flower girl was Katlyn Phillips of Tyler. Ringbearer was Erik Fritz of Washington. Candlelighters were Andrea Miears and Taylor Miears, both of Aledo. Guestbook attendee was Eileen Fritz of Washington. Ushers were Bradley Pirtle of Tyler and Christopher Morris of Arlington. Garren Morris served as both usher and photographer of the wedding. Soloist was Ashley Livingston of Tyler. Following the wedding, a reception was held at The Potpourri House in Tyler. On the Friday preceding the wedding, a bridal luncheon hosted by the groom's maternal grandmother and aunts was held at Kiepersol Estates. That evening a rehearsal dinner hosted by the groom's parents was held at Hollytree Country Club. After a honeymoon weekend at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Dallas, the couple is residing in Tyler. |
