MAKING A DIFFERENCE
The youth of Whitehouse United Methodist Church have risen to the occasion and responded to the call for aid to Philadelphia Blessing. During May and June, they engaged in a competition food drive (based on age); on Sunday, June 3, the cans and monies were counted with 562 food items and $83 donated to the food bank in Whitehouse. When asked why they participated in the food drive, the kids answered, "We just want to help." Charles Blackmon, the diretor of Philadelphia Blessing, made a public appeal for donations earlier this year, saying the food bank's reserves were running especially low.
