LaRue Price Caples

LUFKIN - Services for LaRue Price Caples, 78, of Lufkin were held on Saturday at Oakley-Metcalf Funeral Home chapel, Lufkin, with the Rev. Horace Fletcher officiating.

Burial was in Whitehouse Cemetery.

Mrs. Caples died June 14, 2007 in a Lufkin hospital. She was born July 19, 1928 in Diboll to the late Walter and Eula Grisham Price. She lived in Lufkin most of her life, worked with Holiday Inn for several years, was a homemaker and a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by brother, William Price; sister-in-law, Billie Price; and nieces, Karen Bryan and Anita Reed.

Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Prentice Caples, Lufkin; sister, Syble Reed, Wells; nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Pallbearers included Rodney Dorman, Marvin Malner Sr., Phillip Bryan and Kevin Bryan.
