UMC concert series continues this Sunday

West Texas born and raised, Dub Shelton is kicking off the month of July for First United Methodist's summer concert series "Something More." Shelton will grace the stage at 7p.m. July 1 with his simple melodies and heart-touching lyrics.

Shelton grew up with a love for music and the life-changing effect it could have on the listener when the message comes from the heart. Shelton has been writing for the better part of 15 years and has always had a love for country music as well as other styles. The Other Side of Grace is Shelton's first released album; he has also released Lord You Hit The Spot With Me through HGM Nashville in September 2005.

All area churches and youth groups are invited to this multidenominational event.

The church bus will be available for pick-ups at 6:15 and 6:30 at Elmwood and Troup Senior Apartments. Area nursing homes and assisted living facilities are also invited to attend. Call 903-842-3320 for a ride.
