      The East Texas Aggies will take part in the World Series July 7-15 in Broken Arrow, Okla. The team of 13-year-olds placed second in the SuperSeries Super Regional Tournament to qualify for the World Series.

      Hilltop Country Club held a Thursday afternoon scramble on June 21. The top three teams all finished with six-under par rounds. The first place team consisted of John Berr y, Matt Shaffer, Marty Tennison and Sam K.D.

Hale notches hole-in-one
      Jeff Hale recorded a hole-inone at Hilltop Country Club on Wednesday, June 20. Hale hit the 120-yard ace on number 17, firing with a nine iron. Witnessing the hole-in-one were James Tomlin, Brad Standard, M.H. Ghene and Jimmy Malik.
