Parkinsonians of East Texas meeting

Parkinsonians of East Texas will meet Thursday, June 28 at 2 p.m. at East Texas Medical Center Pavilion, 801 Clinic Dr., Tyler. The speaker will be Kay Robinson of the Better Business Bureau offering information on senior citizen scams. Parking is free for the meeting.

Dixie Masonic Lodge installs officers

The Dixie Masonic Lodge of Troup will host a covered dish supper followed by installation of new officers on Saturday, June 30. The supper will begin at 6 p.m. and the ceremony at 7 p.m.

Baptist Forerunners meet

The Forerunners, senior adults of First Baptist Church of Troup, will meet for a noon covered dish luncheon Monday, July 2. Don and Shelba Gray will present the program.

Writers guild to meet

The East Texas Writers Guild will meet Monday, July 2 at The Texas Store in Bullard. The business meeting is at 6:30 p.m. and the program will start at 7 p.m. Speaker Carol Scott will discuss "Writing Nonfiction".

Troup American Legion to Meet

Troup American Legion will meet Tuesday, July 3 at 6 p.m. at the legion hall.

Dixie Masonic Lodge to meet

The Dixie Masonic Lodge #272 in Troup will meet Tuesday, July 3 at 7:30 p.m. at the lodge hall.

Whitehouse Recycle Center hours

The Whitehouse Recycle Center is open every Wednesday 7-10 a.m. and 3:30-5 p.m. as well as the first and third Saturday 8 a.m. to noon. Bring your recyclable paper, newspaper, cardboard, plastic, aluminum cans and tin cans. The Recycle Center is located on Railroad Ave.

Whitehouse library activities

Sail Away With Books, the Texas Summer Reading Club, meets every Wednesday at the Whitehouse Community Library. Sailors, age 3-6, meet 9:30-10:15 a.m. First Mates, age 7- 10, meet 10:30-11:15 a.m. Captains, age 11-14, meet 11:30 a.m. - 12:15 p.m.

Weight loss support group meets Mondays

The Eat Right For Life Support Group meets every Monday from 5:30-6:30 p.m. in the meeting room of the Regions Bank in Whitehouse (across from the Post Office). Meetings are free. For more information, call 903-839-7634.

Karing Kitchen

The Karing Kitchen offers free hot meals to anyone in need on Monday evenings from 6-7 p.m. The Karing Kitchen is sponsored by five Tyler Churches of Christ and is located at 420 W. Erwin in the fellowship building of West Erwin Church of Christ. For information, call 903-592-0809.
