Nancy Jean Ellis

Private family services for Nancy Jean Ellis, 61, of Troup were held June 30. Arrangements were with Tyler Memorial Funeral Home.

Mrs. Ellis died June 26, 2007.

She was born May 9, 1946 in Kendallville, Ind., to Russel Wayne and Dorothy Marie Inks. She lived in Dallas for several years prior to moving to the Troup area 27 years ago. She worked in retail sales for many years and for Snoke Specialty Products in Jacksonville for 10 years. She was preceded in death by her father, Russel Wayne Inks Sr.

Survivors include her husband of 44 years, Samuel Ellis, Troup; sons, Herb Ellis, Bullard, and Sam Ellis, Tyler; daughters, Elizabeth Hopkins, Bullard, and Samantha Allen, Tyler; mother, Dorothy Inks, Tyler; brothers, Skip Inks, Whitehouse, and Robert Inks, Washington; 11 grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
