Lady Tigers pick up All-District softball nods

Juniors Janna Ross and Alysha Barton were named first team on the District 21-21 All- District softball lineup.

Picking up a second team selection was Cortney Ellis.

Troup's Lady Tigers fought through a rebuilding year under new head coach Lisa Sandoval. With no seniors, the team finished with 15-16 season and 7- 7 district records.

Bailey Hickey of Elysian Fields hauled in MPV honors for District 21-2A, while Alex Holland of Arp earned Newcomer of the Year.

Renee Martin of Arp and Savannah Quintana of Elysian Fields were named Offensive and Defensive Players of the Year, respectively.

Kirbue Munden of Waskom and Whitney Rascoe of Elysian Fields were named Co-Catchers of the Year.

Garrison's Hannah Wright picked up Designated Player of the Year honors.

Reagan Smith of Tatum received Pitcher of the Year honors.

In addition to Ross and Barton, others named to the All- District first team were Kandis Krisle, Cayla Carson, Randi Wymer, Arp; Blair Hickey, Elysian Fields; Shelby Broussard, Erica McIlwain, Adrianna Gonzales, Krystal Powers, Tatum; Shelbi Griffin, Dani Lunsford, Kim Hughes, Amy Schaeffer, Garrison; Marie Blake, Waskom.
