Larissa Derrett
Services for Larissa Derrett, 80, of Tyler were held July 11 at Liberty Winona Baptist Church with the Revs. K. Roberts and John R. Hinton officiating.

Burial was in Pleasant Plains Cemetery, New Summerfield, under direction of Community Funeral Home of Tyler.

Mrs. Derrett died July 5, 2007 in a Tyler hospital.

She was born Aug. 5, 1926 in Troup. She attended Troup and Emmett J. Scott high schools, lived in Troup and Tyler, and was a housewife. She was a member of Liberty Winona Baptist Church Mission Society, usher board and Living Stream Court No. 318.

She was preceded in death by son, Carlton W. Derrett; nine brothers; and two sisters.

Survivors include husband, F.M. Derrett, Tyler; son, Frank Derrett, Tyler; daughters, Joyce Lollar, Debra Jeffery and Lawanda Derrett, all of Tyler; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Ben Campbell, Kenneth Moore, Michael Edwards, Clyde Fears, Keith Edwards, Robert Johnson, Carl McKenzie, James Cooper and Jerry Cole.

Honorary pallbearers were Eric Derrett, Fran Derrett Jr., Brandon Jeffery, Dewayne Haynes, Christopher Derrett, Marcus Derrett and deacons of Liberty Winona Baptist Church.
