Ray Dillard
Services for Ray Dillard, 72, of Whitehouse were held July 7 at Burks Walker Tippit Funeral Directors chapel, Tyler, with the Rev. Pat Phillips officiating.

Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mr. Dillard died July 4, 2007, at his residence.

He was born Oct. 14, 1934, in Crisp to the late Alton L. and Virginia I. Dillard. He served in the Army's 49th Armored Division and retired from East Texas Medical Center. He had owned Ray's Electronics for 28 years. He was a member of Masons of Texas Blue Lodge, Scottish Rite Bodies and Sharon Shrine Center.

Survivors include his wife, Jessie Dillard, Whitehouse; sons, Michael Ray Dillard, Lindale, Lynn Shippey, Lake Cherokee, George Shippey, Texarkana, and Glenn Shippey, Livingston; daughters, Deborah Lynne Colapret, Whitehouse, and Jeanne Foxworth, Nacogdoches; sisters, Nancy Willis, Kerrville, and Analle Shipp, Bullard; 15 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Kevin Johnson, Gary Cole, Shane Foxworth, Billy Foxworth, Charlie Cooper and Frank Haley.
