Franklin D. Carlton
Mr. Carlton died June 30, 2007 at a Tyler hospice. He was born July 1, 1933 in Foley, Ala., where he grew up and attended public schools. He lived in Foley, Ala., Yuma, N.M., and Whitehouse prior to moving to Tyler. He retired as a truck driver from American Consolidated Construction, was a chef and owner of a local vending company. He was a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses-Lake Park Congregation. He was preceded in death by three sisters and three brothers. Survivors include his wife, Lizzie B. Carlton, Tyler; son, Delano Carlton, Stafford, Va.; daughters, Debra Youman, Donna Barrett and Penny Wallace, all of Tyler, and Audrey Hawkins, Dallas; sisters, Sally McGowin, Foley, Ala., and Annie Pace, Pensacola, Fla.; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Ray Greenhouse, Larry Miller, Eugene Kennedy, Ray Dell Wallace, Johnny Mims, Kevin Gossett and Jerome Battee. |
