Harrison earns spot on All-State team

Tiger ace Nick Harrison has been named first-team All-State pitcher, sharing that honor with Taylor Jungmann and Alan Valenzuela of Rogers.

Harrison was also named third-team third baseman.

The 2007 Troup graduate was an All-State selection as a junior and led his team to a 26-7 record this year, earning District 21-2A MVP.

He signed to play baseball with Lon Morris after being heavily recruited by Tyler Junior College and Texas A&MCommerce in football.

Harrison was also chosen to play in the Texas High School Baseball Coaches Association' All Star Game June 16 in Round Rock.
