Patricia Rex Gentry

Patricia Rex Gentry, born Oct. 2, 1947 in Cleveland, Ohio, went home to join our Heavenly Father on July 18, 2007. Patty graduated from John Tyler High School in Tyler in 1966. After graduating, she attended East Texas School of Nursing in Tyler, where she received her RN degree on Aug. 22, 1969. She retired from Mother Frances Hospital in Tyler.

She resided in Tyler until 1999, then she and Carl moved to Fort Worth, where she lived until her death.

She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Carl C. Gentry; two children, Todd Gentry and his wife Dianna and Amy Tabb and her husband Mike; and four grandchildren, Cade and Kennedy Gentry, and Colton and Cohen Tabb.

She is also survived by sister Peggie McMullan and husband Johnnie of Iraan, sister Kathy Witt and husband Billy of Whitehouse, sister Debbie Pickett and husband Randall of Tyler; numerous, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

A memorial service was held July 23 at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, 423 S. Broadway Ave., Tyler, 75702. Patty's many loving friends may donate to the American Diabetes Association or the National Kidney Foundation.
