Whitehouse brother and sister speedsters have qualified for the Texas Amateur Athletic Federation (TAAF) Olympic-style event in track and field to be held in Round Rock July 26-29. Gunnar and Alexa Dorsey are the son and daughter of Eric Dorsey of Whitehouse. Eight-year-old Alexa qualified to compete in the 200 meter state event. Gunnar, 13 years old, qualified to compete in the 100 meter, 200 meter and 4 X 100 meter relay state events. Other members of the relay team are Devonte Haggerty, LaQuintas Wallace and Tim Brown. This elite relay team's goal is to break the national record. Gunnar and Alexa are members of the Tyler-Whitehouse Metro Track and Field Team.
