Special week on tap at Rockin' C Ranch A lot will be the same at the Rockin' C Ranch this week, but it'll be a whole new world for a select group of campers. Thirty campers ranging in age from 8-28 will enjoy an experience unlike what they're normally afforded. These campers and their families face the daily challenge of autism, Down's syndrome, genetic disorders and life in wheelchairs. Camp Courageous is starting this year with visions of bringing hope, joy and laughter to these campers. "All summer long we have the pleasure of serving great kids from all over, but this week is different and special," said Matt Clapp, executive director and founder of Rockin' C Ranch. "The kids we normally serve come from all walks of life, most of them able to afford camp anywhere. These kids would probably not get to have a camp experience this summer." The kids who will be attending Camp Courageous will have the opportunity to enjoy arts and crafts, horses, archery, canoeing, kayaking, swimming and more. Rockin' C Ranch is a Christian camp on a working ranch north of Tyler. They operate year-round offering summer camp, retreats, outdoor education and corporate picnics.
