J.A. "Alton" Glaspie
Mr. Glaspie died July 24, 2007 in Frankston. He was born March 6, 1921 in Troup to the late Jim and Mamie Glaspie. He was self-employed in auto sales for 64 years before retirement and has lived in Tyler for the past 65 years and was a member of the former Glenwood United Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife, Billie Burke Martin Glaspie of Tyler; son, Ronnie Glaspie of Frankston; daughters, Cheryl Ann Glaspie Tonne of Tyler and Sue Nell Craver of Mesquite; brother, J.B. Glaspie of Tyler; sister, Annelle Harris of Tyler; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Ronnie Glaspie, Wayne Glaspie, Ken Wilson, Justin Glaspie, James Glaspie and Jake Glaspie. Honorary pallbearers will be Kyle Wilson and Jeffrey Craver. | |||||
