J.A. "Alton" Glaspie
Funeral services for J.A. "Alton" Glaspie, 86, of Tyler were held July 26 at Burks Walker Tippit Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Paul Powell officiating.

Burial followed at Concord Cemetery near Troup.

Mr. Glaspie died July 24, 2007 in Frankston.

He was born March 6, 1921 in Troup to the late Jim and Mamie Glaspie. He was self-employed in auto sales for 64 years before retirement and has lived in Tyler for the past 65 years and was a member of the former Glenwood United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Billie Burke Martin Glaspie of Tyler; son, Ronnie Glaspie of Frankston; daughters, Cheryl Ann Glaspie Tonne of Tyler and Sue Nell Craver of Mesquite; brother, J.B. Glaspie of Tyler; sister, Annelle Harris of Tyler; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Ronnie Glaspie, Wayne Glaspie, Ken Wilson, Justin Glaspie, James Glaspie and Jake Glaspie. Honorary pallbearers will be Kyle Wilson and Jeffrey Craver.
