Fred Lee Williams

MOUNT PLEASANT - Graveside services for Fred Lee Williams, 83, of Mount Pleasant were held Aug. 5 at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with Brother Glenn Griffith officiating. Arrangements under direction of Bates-Cooper-Sloan Funeral Home, Mount Pleasant.

Mr. Williams died Aug. 3, 2007 in a local hospital. He was born Aug. 6, 1923 in Morris County to the late Clyde Lee and Gladys White Williams. He served in the Army, retired from John B. Stephens Meat Packing Co., and was a member of Nevill's Chapel Missionary Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.

Survivors include his wife, Pearline Clark Williams, Mount Pleasant; son, Terry Lee Williams, Kingwood; daughter, Vicki Richardson, Whitehouse; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
