Luncheon fund-raiser to aid publication of Troup history book

Area citizens are invited to be a part of the delicious mouthwatering meal to be served at the Cameron-J. Jarvis Troup Municipal Library on Sunday, Aug. 26 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Come and enjoy salads, desserts, drinks and friendly visitation.

Tickets are $6 for adults and $4 for children age 12 and under. Carry-outs will be available. Tickets can be purchased at the library, Steele's Feed and Seed or from members of the Troup Genealogy and Historical Society and the Friends of the Library.

This event is a joint effort by these two groups. It is a fundraiser to help with the expense of publishing the book "The History of Troup," which is being written by local citizens. The book is nearing completion and will soon be in the hands of the publisher. The community will be kept informed of the due date and when pre-sales will begin.
